Finally got my website redesigned, including integrating the blog and my photos into the site.  So, to celebrate, I'm going to do the first Friday cat blog in over a year!  Okay, I'm still learning, and managed to crash my site briefly while trying to re-configure the app that gets photos from the album and into the blog.  I still can't seem to get it to resize exactly the way I want it to.  Enough of that, here are the cats:

Most mornings I try to make sure Toby is the only cat in my room when I feed him, so that he gets all of his medicine without interference.  The routine is this:  I take a small amount of canned food and mix in the Cosequin (glucosamin and chondrotin) put that on the food table, but before Toby can dig in, shove his thyroid medicine down his throat.  That lessens the chance he will spit out the pill since he is focused on food.  Then he scarfs up the canned food, but doesn't always finish it (that's why I only use a small amount with his meds).  Then he is starving again and screams at me, so I give him more canned food, placing any leftover on top to increase the chance he'll get all the Cosequin.  Then I keep stirring and adding canned food until he gets to the point where he doesn't finish it.  Then it is time to put dry food in the dish and top it with the piece de resistance, Greenies!  Four out of five of my cats go bonkers for the Greenies!  The other cats eat the same dry food, and seem to be happy enough without getting canned food regularly, but they will swarm around the table for the Greenies.  Sometimes I let the other cats back in the room before this point, sometimes I let them all have Greenies when I get home in the evening.  Of course, it is easiest to leave the other cats locked out and just give Toby his Greenies. 

This morning, I thought I had all the other cats out of my room except for Tula, who is dainty and has to watch her figure so skips the treats and doesn't deign to eat anything on Toby's table.  Well...I missed Duncan, who was hiding under the chair.  He wanted to bother Toby when the canned food was out, but was easily distracted, since that isn't what he really wanted.  But as soon as it was time for the dessert course...Duncan got a nice helping of Greenies this morning.  So I figured a good picture to use today would be one with both Toby and Duncan on the food table.
