Friday Cat Blog
Now that the weather is cooler the cats are suddenly more friendly. They also a bit more rambunctious, chasing each other around and climbing the shelves. Claude used to have the habit of burrowing under my comforter during the day even when the weather was warm, but he got out of that habit this summer, spending more time in the rest of the house. When I got home last night, he was back under the covers, and wriggled out when he heard me feeding Toby. Nero has started sleeping at the foot of my bed after abandoning me for months. Toby, the cranky 20-year-old, stays in my room, and I suspect he has "encouraged" the younger cats to hang out elsewhere. But now that it is colder, even he doesn't seem to mind the little hotheads.
This is an older picture back when Nero (the tuxedo cat) tried to be friends with Toby (the red tabby). Nero is so nice-natured: he loves me, he loves mom, he loves Duncan, he loves his brother and sister, he loves the dogs. Of course, he loves Toby, too. Here he is curled up next to a sleeping Toby. You can be sure that when Toby woke up he moved away from that little twerp. Once the weather gets really cold maybe I can get a newer picture similar to this one.
